This is Ruz - T, a little character with an amazing sense of wonder for the world around him. He likes bolts and nuts and loves to fix things. Yellow is most prob his favourite colour. Originally developed as a character for children literature, the story has evolved to be for more mature readers.

A sketch/painting per day . . .

 100713 - Design sketch of a robot character. Normally I would do refinements, revisions and variations when designing, but today's exercise is just to let loose and finalize everything in 1 sketch within the set time.

090713 - Lighting Studies

290613 - Decided to do some character expressions exploration for today's sketch. Someone once mentioned, if you can master drawing the human face and figure, you can draw anything.

260613 - A quick lighting study and brushes exploration. Realized it's easier to accomplish these dailies sketches in time in the day instead of at night 

220613 - Today's sketch is inspired by the clearing of the haze this afternoon. It's so easy to take clean air for granted until it's not available. Would have improve on the design of the ad hoc retrofitted haze clearing robot if there's more time but I decided it's time to sleep.

The Saga Continues

Over the weekend (about 2-3 weeks ago) I whipped out a wall mural proposal for my company's internal wall mural competition. It need not be a paintng but I thought since I'm learning to paint, I decided to do a digital painting. :)  This painting is my homage to George Lucas in how he usually shoots his final scene and in celebrating our company's move to a new building named as the 'Sand Crawler'. I named the mural "The Saga Continues" and selected the following characters in the composition because they presented the lead characters (Luke & Anakin) for the Saga and also the notion of the Saga been told through the eyes of the driods, R2 & C3PO.
